Philippine Cinema. - Lav Diaz, Filmmaker

is not afraid to break away from the traditional,
Hollywood, and mainstream - Jeffrey Jeturian,

The simplicity, the naturalness, the
unpretentiousness of it all...it was so refreshing.
Many times, the strokes were masterful. - Ellen

I don't believe in characters. Characters connote something constructed. I like to see them as real people, where I can attempt to build an actual relationship with them. I must believe that they are alive. That is why I told the people in the film to live their own lives as they pleased, without regard for applause or boos or indifference.
-this is sooo JP. hehehe
